Ever since I was ten years old, I was given a soft toy polar bear (drawn in my cartoon above) that I loved and carried around with me everywhere. It was not until much later and during the start of my love of all things Korean that I noticed the little tag at the side of his fluffy paw that said ‘Made in Korea.’ Coincidence or what? Little did I know that Korea has been with me since childhood. It is interesting how you can attract things into your life without really knowing.

So the New Year has begun and the start of it brings the inevitable resolutions we make to ourselves and intend to keep throughout the year. Sometimes declaring things out loud to your friends and family, help keep you focused.

This year my resolution for Diya On Korea is to write more and draw more frequently. I will post a schedule and will annouce it in a few days. So watch this space.
